Many forgoing SAT, path to college

The Boston Globe reports on how some people in Massachusetts don't want to take the SAT.Here's the arrogant comment of the day :

"These are kids that are going to be low-wage workers unless they take the SAT," said Miren Uriarte , director of the Gastón Institute for Latino Community Development and Public Policy at the University of Massachusetts at Boston. "The kids that are not aware of all the options are sort of left behind."

We suspect that many students realize being saddled with debt isn't such a good deal.But,then where would the education establishment be without promoting their self-interest?
