Clinton Campaign donor pleads guilty to bilking Chicago schools

The Chicago Tribune reports:
A Chicago businessman and major fundraiser for the Democratic Party pleaded guilty in federal court Wednesday to taking part in a scheme that defrauded Chicago Public Schools of millions of dollars.

James Levin, the former president of Tru-Link Fence and Products Co. and onetime owner of a North Side strip club, admitted that he bribed the owners of women- or minority-owned businesses to act as front companies so he could capitalize on a program designed to help such businesses win contracts.

From 1998 to 2001, Tru-Link received more than $2.87 million in fencing contracts from the school district after falsely representing that portions of the work would be performed by minority- or women-owned businesses.
Jimmy Levin continues to make news.
