New York City Council's Massive Pay Raise

The New York Times reports on New York City's City Council:

The City Council voted today to give itself a 25 percent raise and to give New York City’s other elected officials raises of 10 percent to 26.7 percent

Some people really do benefit from high taxes.Your tax increase is their payday.
