Barak Obama has a new
book out and the Chicago Sun-Times has a few quotes:
But our democracy might work a bit better if we recognized that all of us possess values that are worthy of respect: if liberals at least acknowledged that the recreational hunter feels the same way about his gun as they feel about their library books
Obama has a way with words ,because he's right to a certain extent, that liberals "feel" an almost religious sense that taxing someone to pay for book socialism is high morality. As far as the gun comment,if he keeps talking like that,he'll not go far in the Democratic Party. He's another gem from his new book on meeting President Bush :
"I had found the president to be a likable man, shrewd and disciplined but with the same straightforward manner that had helped him win two elections"
This last comment probably isn't going to play well with the Daily Kos crowd.
