Lost DOT Laptops: Compromised Personal Data?

WTOP Radio reports:

nt of Transportation has put the Personal Identification Information of at least 133,000 people at risk.

According to information WTOP obtained through the Freedom of Information Act, since 2001, the DOT has lost nearly 400 laptop computers and had nine instances when Personal Identification Information was lost or stolen. Personal Identification Information can include a person's name, address, Social Security number or salary.
