Housing Aid For Housing Chief

The Hartford Courant reports:
Courtney Anderson, chairman of the Hartford Housing Authority board that recently fired its director for alleged financial irregularities, is now facing similar scrutiny regarding checks from an emergency housing fund used to pay his mortgage and that of a colleague.

Documents obtained by The Courant show that the Blue Hills Civic Association - of which Anderson was president until his resignation last week - is investigating his role in the issuance of the two checks, each for $1,500, from a fund intended to help Blue Hills residents facing foreclosure or eviction.
Great moments in activist government.
