"We see teaching as a...political act," it says at the outset. It says that teachers "need to expand their reading of texts and symbols embedded in their social practices and institutions to uncover how they protect privilege and undermine democracy."At least they are honest.When you are getting money from the taxpayers you have a vested interest in politics.What better proof than this that separating education from state is a good a idea.
