A Chicago Family Tradition Continues

Some maybe in prison but The Chicago Sun-Times reports on some workers pressing for old injury claims:
John Briatta, chief of emergency dispatch crews for the water department, who took bribes from truck companies. Briatta, brother-in-law of Cook County Commissioner John M. Daley, the mayor's brother, filed a claim in 2001. Briatta reported he tripped while walking up stairs and broke a bone in his right hand. Briatta didn't miss any work. The city paid $12,258.56 to settle "all claims arising out of the alleged occurrence."
Here's some background on the connection between the Daley's and the Briatta's:
John Daley represents the close ties between the Democratic Party in Chicago and the Chicago Outfit.Daley married Marie Lou Briatta, daughter of Mob bookie Louis Briatta.Louis Briatta was exposed as one of Chicago's infamous ghost payrollers by the Chicago Tribune in 1959.Briatta was identified by the United States permanent subcommittee on investigations in 1963 as a member of the Chicago Outfit.Briatta got on the city of Chicago payroll by his brother in law John D'Arco who was Alderman of the 1st Ward .John D'Arco was a "made member" of the Chicago Outfit and a one time Capone stick up man.
There's only one Chicago.
