In New York City, where 31 percent of commuters take public transit and 8 percent walk or bike to work, households spend $7,880 a year on transportation. That's right, an amazing 61% of the New York City commuters don't want to be on someone else's schedule.I guess socialist transportation isn't very popular or the wave of the future.Even urban people seem to be rejecting one of the cornerstones of urban life.
