California boosts minimum wage to highest in US

Reuters reports:
The California Assembly on Thursday approved a bill to boost the minimum wage to $8 an hour, the highest level in the nation, and sent it to Gov.
Arnold Schwarzenegger's desk for signing.
Did you think Arnold was really for free market economics? Guess again:
I have always said that when the economy was ready, we should reward the efforts of California's hard-working families by raising our minimum wage
Isn't it amazing that a politician would think he's that important to the economic decision making? That's socialism for you.
