Ten Oakland County communities, three in Macomb County and two in Wayne County -- including Harper Woods, which is asking for the largest increase -- are seeking new taxes.
Northville Township Manager Chip Snider said he knows that bad news in the domestic auto industry has rocked southeast Michigan but still thinks the township must let its citizens dictate what services and amenities they want. The township is asking residents to add 0.8750 mill for 4 years for senior and youth services, parks and recreation.
