Democratic Sen. Joe Biden is eyeing a presidential run.No word yet from Senator Biden on why towns like Chicago and New York City (who don't have Wal-Marts) don't have much of a middle class. Not everyone can be an average federal government worker making 100K a year with wages and benefits. But,heh, that's the backbone of the modern Democratic Party:government workers with wages higher than most Americans. When Bob Shrum came up with the expression "the people vs.the powerful",he probably didn't realize how right he was.The "people" pay taxes and shop at Wal-Mart.The "powerful" receive their salaries from taxpayers and have powerful unions extorting taxes from the people.Anyway,Democrats attacking Wal-Mart isn't a winning issue because that where many Americans shop.
On Wednesday, Biden headlined a news conference for a movement called Wake Up Wal-Mart.
"My problem is that I don't see any indication they care about the fate of middle-class people," Biden said.
