Apple in deals to connect iPod in new car models

Apple Computer Inc.(AAPL.O: Quote, Profile, Research) on Thursday said it had reach agreements with Ford Motor Co. (F.N: Quote, Profile, Research), General Motors (GM.N: Quote, Profile, Research) and Mazda (7261.T: Quote, NEWS, Research) to make it easier to connect its popular iPod music player to car stereos.

More than 70 percent of 2007 U.S. car models will offer a way to link the iPod with car stereos under the agreements, Apple said.
