Dearborn stands to lose millions on property deal

The Detriot Free Press reports:
When Dearborn Mayor Michael Guido pushed the city to pay $3.35 million to political supporters last year for the abandoned Montgomery Ward site -- nearly twice what those supporters paid for the land -- the city defended the purchase as the best deal possible.

Ten months later, Dearborn may sell the site for a sliver of what it spent -- perhaps as little as $200,000.
Great moments in government.
