Made Member of Chicago Mob Makes Mayor Daley's Secret Clout Sponsors

The Chicago Tribune put up on their website a PDF file 59 pages long of Mayor Daley's sponsors for patronage jobs. The federal government claims the patronage job list is part of scheme to violate a federal decree banning patronage in Chicago. One name on the list is particularly interesting: union boss Bruno Caruso. The Chicago Sun-Times explains the Caruso link:
The Roti family's union power goes back to two late organized-crime figures, Ald. Fred B. Roti and Chicago Outfit boss Anthony Accardo, according to union investigators.

Bruno and "Toots'' Caruso are nephews of Roti. The three were among 47 men identified by the FBI in 1999 as "made'' members of the mob. "Made'' mobsters, according to the report, pledge loyalty to the Outfit "and would carry this oath of commitment and silence to the grave.''
A made guy making job referrals to Mayor Daley. Not just one but many. That's the Chicago Way.
