Chicago Loses Almost 1500 People A Month Between July 2004 and July 2005

The Daily Herald reports:
Perhaps the allure of suburban subdivisions has finally begun to eclipse the busy pace of city living, according to U.S. Census Bureau figures released today.

Chicago’s population declined by about 18,0000 people — or .6 percent — between July 1, 2004 and July 1, 2005, whereas many suburbs — including Huntley and Round Lake — experienced double-digit population gains.
Another great Mayor Daley success story.
