How Big Is The Federal Government?

Lew Rockwell reminds us:
Everyone knows that the federal budget is in ghastly shape. Spending is running at almost $2.7 trillion per year. If today you slashed the budget in half, you would be back to the small-government days of the beginning of Clinton's first term. If you cut it in half again, you would be taken back to Reagan's first term, a time to when people date the beginning of budget cuts that never happened.
Those Republicans sure know how to cut government spending.
