NYPD CHIEF IN JEW 'SLUR'

The NYPD's highest-ranking un iformed cop stood outside a Brooklyn station house screaming, "Get the f- - -ing Jews out of here! I want heads rolling!" a city councilman charged yesterday.

Chief of Department Joseph Espo sito shouted the slur as cops in riot gear struggled with hundreds of young Hasids rampaging throughout Borough Park, setting fires and smashing windows Tuesday night to protest the arrest of an elderly Ortho dox Jew, Councilman Simcha Felder said.

Esposito then turned to Felder and said, "Simcha, if you don't want to help me, get the f- - - out of here," the councilman claimed.

But the city - while acknowledging Esposito uttered vulgarities in the heat of the moment - denied he used any ethnic or religious slurs, quoting the chief as saying "get these f- - -ing people out of here."

Felder said he has known Espo sito, 55, since the cop was ap pointed commander of the Bor ough Park precinct, and had "the highest regard for him."

But, he added, "The re mark he made about Jews - that could be made about blacks, Hispanics, about anyone else. It's inexcusable," Felder said. "When you use the word Jew with the word 'f- - -ing' in any fashion, something is seriously wrong. What should be done? I leave that to the mayor and the police commissioner."
