A 24-year old male was taken into custody by police as a terror suspect because of his song selections in a cab on the way to the airport. Harraj Mann, a mobile telephone salesman, was playing punk-rock legends the Clash and classic rock god's Led Zeppelin on his MP3 player en route to Durham Tees Valley Airport. The cab driver's suspicion was raised after hearing lyrics such as "Now war is declared and battle come down," sung by the late, great Joe Strummer in "London Calling" and "The hammer of the gods will drive our ships to new lands," in Led Zep's "Immigrant Song."Look what happens when you listen to the wrong music. It's kind of scary, because you never what music Big Brother might find unacceptable.Since,Led Zeppelin is one of the biggest selling bands of all time that makes a lot people suspects in the war on terror.
Mann played Procol Harum's "Whiter Shade Of Pale" first, which the taxi driver liked. "I figured he like the classics, so put on a bit of Led Zeppelin 'Immigrant Song.' Then, since I was going to London, I played the song by the Clash and finished up with ‘Nowhere Man' by the Beatles," Mann said. After Mann got out of the car, the cab driver called the police. Mann got onto his plane, but the take off was delayed and police jumped on board to arrest him. Mann was then "frog-marched" and his bags were seized and searched. He was asked "every question possible" for nearly three hours as a terrorist suspect for his music choices. "He didn't like Led Zep or the Clash but there was no need to tell the police." "Know Your Rights" indeed.
