City of Chicago To Give Better Benefits To Government Workers

The Chicago Sun-Times reports:
City employees -- both men and women -- would be guaranteed six weeks of unpaid parental leave after the birth of a child, adoption or foster care assignment, under a proposal that could be a prelude to paid maternity leave.

Downtown Ald. Burton F. Natarus (42nd) says he wants to offer an alternative to women who are currently forced to take unused sick days and vacation time, then rush back to work before they're ready.
That's the Chicago Way.As if Chicago doesn't have enough ghost payrollers and overpaid workers.
