The usually conservative Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences went out on a limb hiring Stewart for a job that has been held by a select group of ultra-famous stars including Billy Crystal, Steve Martin, Bob Hope and in recent years Whoopi Goldberg and comedian Chris Rock.

John Stewart is a host of a cable T.V. show with a limited audience.So,in many ways he's the perfect host for the niche movie awards coming Sunday night.What do the awards mean when most of America hasn't seen or doesn't want to see these movies? This year will be a ratings disaster.The insignificant movie's award show.They've picked movies that most of America wouldn't even want on DVD for free.A prediction: an audience higher than John Stewart's 1.5 million viewers but less than last year's Oscars.
