Chicago Transit Workers Vote For Illegal Strike

CBS TV Chicago reports:
CHICAGO CTA bus drivers and mechanics took a strike vote Monday night, even though CTA President Frank Kruesi says they have no legal right to strike.

Amalgamated Transit Union Local 241 says the CTA has refused to negotiate over what it calls unfair labor practices and scheduling disputes.

CBS 2’s Chelsea Irving reports union members say they are voting to authorize a strike, which they say could begin as early as April 9.

“I don’t have to tell you we’ve been mistreated. But I can tell you tonight, it’s over,” said union president Darrell Jefferson.
Can everyone get a generous pension and retire in their 40's ? Mistreated? You'll notice just because it's against the law that doesn't prevent them from using their monopoly power. The campaign contributions they make to politicians really pay off.
