Ottawa Attorney General Calls For Banning Handguns

The Star reports that Ottawa Attorney General Michael Bryan wants to ban handguns:
"Nobody needs to have a handgun in their house, and nobody should because of the dangers caused even by safe storage of these weapons of human misery," Bryant said yesterday.

And handgun collectors shouldn't look to the law for support, he added, noting current legislation that allows people to collect and store guns in their homes, no matter how safely, isn't protecting citizens.

"The average citizen simply cannot safely store a handgun," he said, calling them "potential future murder weapons."
Bryan believes the state is God on earth and that something mystical happens when one becomes a police officer. One becomes better than an average citizen.
