New York Times Editorial Page Can't Find Anything To Cut

The New York Times editorial rips the Bush budget, but can't find much it wants to cut in the couple trillion dollar budget:
The budget writers even fantasized an end to Social Security's lump-sum death benefit — a whopping $255 per recipient — as if Congress would dare to do something so heartless and easy to exploit in an election year.
Let's get this straight, when Warren Buffett dies he gets a Social Security lump-sum death benefit.Just think a guy who owns insurance companies needs that death benefit when he's already got billions. The New York Times editoral page doesn't want to give Warren Buffett a tax cut but demands he get free Viagra and a Social Security lump-sum death benefit! For the New York Times there seems to never be a good time to cut spending.Never.We wouldn't want to cut Warren's benefits he needs them so much.
