Lonely Americans Give Up

Sploid reports:
As Valentine’s Day once again rears its ugly heart-shaped head, a shocking new study shows that most single people have utterly given up ever finding love.

Nearly half of all adult Americans are single, yet only 26% of them are in “committed relationships” and a staggering 56% of lonely hearts said they’re not involved with anyone and aren’t seeking a partner.

That’s according to the Pew Internet & American Life Project’s new survey, “Romance in America.”

With about half of U.S. adults either married or “living as married” and most singles not even bothering trying to meet anyone, only 7% of Americans are in the dating market.
The new majority?
