Cook County's Explosive Growth in Government

The Southwest Herald reports:
since 1994, Cook County revenue and expenditures have both increased approximately 15 times as fast as the county’s population. In the same period, Cook County revenue increased 24 percent greater than inflation from 1994 to 2004, and expenditures shot up 29 percent over inflation.”
