Bush isn't a "conservative" in the old sense of the word, which perhaps explains why so many people don't like him.Bush is a statist.He might call for "reform" of Social Security but overall look how he's expanded government.Perserving the status quo which is big government.Which in a lot of ways makes him conservative.Those who want the status quo are attempting to conserve the current structure of the federal government.
