CBOT traders heavily short in 30-year bonds-CFTC

Reuters reports:
Debt futures traders loaded up
on short positions in Chicago Board of Trade 30-year bond
futures recently, helping to set up a rally after Friday's mild
inflation data, a weekly report said.

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission said large speculators such as hedge funds had a net short in CBOT 30-year bonds of 37,934 contracts as of Jan. 10, up more than 28,000 contracts on the week.
Some are betting when the new 30 year bond comes back, yields will have to go up.
