Arizona is now 5th-youngest state in nation

The Arizona Republic reports:
Arizona is getting younger. Or more accurately, the rest of the nation is getting older faster.

According to new Census Bureau estimates, Arizona is now the fifth-youngest state in the nation, up from 11th-youngest five years ago. Nearly 27 percent of Arizonans are younger than 18, compared with less than 25 percent of Americans.

Utah is the youngest state, with more than 30 percent of its population under 18. Maine is the oldest with only 21 percent of its residents in that youthful category.
The image of old people retiring to Arizona will have to go.
