Illinois program will open the way to guaranteed mortgages for illegal immigrants

The Chicago Tribune reports:
Illinois is poised to become the second state in the country to help undocumented immigrants buy homes, even as critics seek to overturn a similar program in Wisconsin.

Illinois housing officials plan to announce Sunday that they will allow anybody with a taxpayer identification number, issued by the Internal Revenue Service to workers ineligible for Social Security numbers, to qualify for state-guaranteed mortgages.

The "Opportunity I-Loan" program also would help U.S. citizens and legal residents without bank accounts, as long as they can provide pay stubs, rent receipts or other proof of financial stability.

But the portion of the program that helps undocumented immigrants is likely to account for the majority of loans and certain to draw the most attention.
Now you know why Illinois has the largest underfunded public pension system: because it has morons making laws.We hope the U.S. federal government takes notice, it appears Illinois legislatures are engaged in a racketeering enterprise to violate federal immigration law.Providing shelter is certainly an essential element in breaking federal law.
