A clearer count in Massachusetts

The Boston Globe runs an op-ed piece by Holly St. Clair who complains of the Census Bureau's difficult time getting the numbers right in Massachusetts :
As with any estimating methodology, it is important to get the base components correct. This can be especially challenging in Massachusetts, because the two main populations responsible for the state's growth -- students and immigrants -- are often the hardest for the Census to track.
Other states have challenges too.Why aren't they losing population two years in a row? Massachusetts is one of the few places actually losing population because housing prices are artifically high.As we've said before Blue state America can be a grim place if you aren't wealthy. When you zone out middle income housing and have unions problems you start losing population.
