About one out of three Detroit voters surveyed Tuesday said they would move out of Detroit if they could.High taxes and crime aren't for everyone.
And of those who would leave, more than half said they would move out of state, rather than move to the suburbs.
Some 33% said they would pack up and leave, according to a Detroit Free Press/WXYZ-TV telephone poll with 400 respondents conducted Tuesday by EPIC/MRA of Lansing.

That potential population drain underscores the challenges facing Michigan and its largest city -- daunting budget hurdles that threaten long-cherished government services and the shrinking of the automotive industry.
The city's population has shrunk by half in the last 50 years. About 10,000 to 12,000 residents leave yearly, and the city's population is now around 900,000.
