Michigan job losses to go on

The American economy isn't in a recession but the Detriot Free Press reports Michigan seems to always be in a recession recently:
Michigan will suffer a sixth straight year of job losses in 2006, a string unprecedented since World War II, University of Michigan economists predicted Friday.

Even as the national economy prospers, U-M economist Joan Crary and her colleagues George Fulton and Saul Hymans said that Michigan would not reverse its jobs slide until 2007.

And despite recent declines in Michigan's unemployment rate, they forecast the rate will rise again soon, peaking at 7.6% by late 2007.
The high tax, union, big government model seems to not be working.
