Eight Chicago Employees Join City Hiring Lawsuit

The Chicago Sun-Times reports on the Empire:
Eight current and former city employees claimed Tuesday there was no way to get a promotion at City Hall without clout, and that sometimes meant a good word from John Daley, the mayor's brother.

The eight employees were added to the long-running Shakman lawsuit as Mayor Daley's corporation counsel stuck to her guns about getting out from under the federal decree
As you can see the biggest violator of the law is the government.
