Why would you want to privatize zoos? What if the new owners tried to maximize profits by allowing visitors to hunt game on the premises?Sounds like another New York Times reporter who didn't like private property.
If your argument was followed to its conclusion, you would have no private education. Philosophically, I think the point is that the private sector in general can deliver services more effectively than the public sector.
But surely I don't have to remind you that the private sector cannot be trusted to act in the interests of society as a whole, which is why government exists. What do you think is the purpose of government?
