More Americans are going solo - and society is catching on

The Sacramento Bee reports on a big new trend:the unmarried
In Sacramento County, 50.6 percent of females ages 15 and older are not married. The guys aren't quite there but are catching up; 47.3 percent of them are single.

Single America has arrived.

The most common household composition in the United States has shifted from married couples with children in 1990 to people living alone, according to a report released in August by the U.S. Census Bureau.
We'll bet those high real estate prices in California don't help anything in terms of family formation.
