Illinois Bankruptcy Cases Soar In Illinois

The AP reports:

Ken Gardner is clerk of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court covering northern Illinois. He says that district -- with offices in Chicago and Rockford -- took in nearly 23-thousand new cases this month to Monday. That's already more than five times the number of filings there for all of last year.
