Chicago might be a White Sox kind of town?

Seattle Times reports:

the Cubs haven't always owned the city to the extent they have over the last two decades, during which bad Cubs teams routinely out-drew good Sox teams. This year, for instance, the infuriating Cubs drew 3.1 million, sixth-best in baseball, and the exhilarating White Sox drew 2.3 million, 17th-best in baseball.

In 55 of the 65 seasons before Tribune Co. purchased the Cubs in 1981, the Chicago team with the better record also had better attendance. The Sox outdrew the Cubs in the 1950s and 1960s, and it was close in the 1970s, before the Cubs took undeniable dominance.

Time will tell.
