Bush Chooses Miers for Supreme Court

The AP reports:
President Bush on Monday nominated White House counsel Harriet Miers to replace retiring Justice Sandra Day O'Connor on the Supreme Court, reaching into his loyal inner circle for a pick that could reshape the nation's judiciary for years to come.
This is obviously a political pick. Not even a good "affirmative action" pick. A 60 year old who hasn't been a judge. But,you've got to admit the Democrats might let this one pass because she might retire in 5 years.Anyone who thinks this is the most qualified person for the job is rather dishonest. Not a good pick.
