Rita could cause a Recession

The Detriot News reports:

As Hurricane Rita grew to a killer storm Wednesday, confidence that the U.S. economy can withstand another ocean-borne tempest began to falter.
Already staggering from the damage from Hurricane Katrina, the U.S. energy industry braced for another punch this weekend as Rita headed for oil- and gas-producing centers on the Texas and Louisiana coasts.
