In pleading guilty, Wesolowski admitted that department employees won promotions and raises for campaigning for Mayor Richard Daley, Rep. Rahm Emanuel (D-Ill.) and others. At Tomczak's direction, Wesolowski solicited campaign funds from trucking companies for Mayor Daley and the 11th Ward organization run by the mayor's brother, Cook County Commissioner John Daley.
