The Nanny State in Chicago

CBS-TV Chicago reports on the nanny state in Chicago.You'll get a ticket for talking on a cell phone without a headpiece while driving:

Under terms of the ban, a driver stopped while using a hand-held cell phone can be ticketed for 50 dollars, while someone who gets into an accident while using a cell phone faces a fine of 200 dollars.

The law allows drivers to call nine-one-one in an emergency and there's nothing wrong with making a call from a parked car. Law enforcement officers are exempt from the ban.
