An unknown number of bloggers and others on the Internet were posting information on their weblogs. One, Georgia Tech University student Justin Harper, 20, created the site www.katrina-survivor.com. He said he is “scraping” information from other places on the Web to create a searchable database about Katrina survivors. As of Tuesday afternoon, he had data on 14,000 people.
