We usually hear that the web lowers prices on virtually everything.The Arizona Republic seems to disagree:

the abundance of real estate information online has helped increase property values.

Newly empowered home sellers are more savvy when it comes to pricing and marketing their homes, said Steve Cook, spokesman for the Washington, D.C.-based National Association of Realtors, which conducted the study.
