Chicago Pedestrians Could Get Fined For Crossing On Red

You know a city is hard up for cash when even a 9% retail sales tax and sky high property taxes will not bring in enough revenue. But,now Chicago gets really desperate for cash:
The city of Chicago is considering a crackdown on pedestrians who endanger themselves and tie up traffic by crossing downtown streets against the lights.

It’s just a proposal at this point, but if it passes, pedestrians who cross the street when they’re not supposed to could get fines up to hundreds of dollars.
Those fat pensions the city of Chicago pays must really be a burden.
