Here's what happened: "Monty Python's Spamalot" opened at the Loop's Shubert Theater. Instant hit. Audiences roared. Critics applauded. The show moved on to New York, garnered more great reviews--and belly laughs--and bagged a bunch of Tony Awards.
So far, so familiar. Here's the revolutionary part. The show isn't just going on a national tour. It's going to Las Vegas, the new Broadway West. And it will likely play for a very long time.
