Comrade Sanders on the media

Comrade Sanders thinks he knows the right number of media outlets to serve consumers:
The reality is that today, a handful of conglomerates such as Viacom, Disney, General Electric, TimeWarner-AOL, Murdoch's News Corporation and a few others have an incredible impact on the flow of information that goes out to the American people, as well as our culture. There is a reason why millions of Americans had to turn to the BBC or the CBC for more objective information on the lead up to the war in Iraq. There is a reason why TV executives believe that the Michael Jackson's trial or Tom Cruise's engagement deserves more media coverage than the decline of the middle class, the increase in poverty that we're experiencing or the growing gap between the rich and the poor.
Comrade Sanders obviously hasn't heard of the internet and all those choices now available.Or the fact that AOL isn't as big as it was 5 years ago.Facts will never stop the belief in socialism.TMPCafe
