FEC treads into sticky web of political blogs

Big brother is looking to regulate political blogs.You had to figure politicians would begin to look at blogs as a threat to their incumbency.

The FEC also is considering whether to require Web loggers, called bloggers, to disclose whether they get money from a campaign committee or a candidate and to reveal whether they are being paid to write about certain candidates or solicit contributions on their behalf.

No word yet on whether the New York Times or the Washington Post would support even more onerous rules to limit free speech.Chicago Tribune
