Average Harvard Professor Made $203,000 in 2013: Average American CEO Made $178,400 in 2013

We hear with enormous conviction that when people work in the "non-profit" sector they are motivated by altruism as opposed to greedy self-interest. According to Barack Obama and Joe Biden , paying taxes is "patriotism". As you know, Harvard University hasn't been paying their "fair share" since 1636. This enabled Harvard to pay its' average full professors $203,000 in 2013, which is a significantly higher salary than the average American CEO salary of $178,400 ! Harvard has America's biggest college endowment, in 2013- they had a massive $32.3 Billion . Harvard's rent-seeking greed knows no bounds, according to CNS News:
In fiscal year 2011, Harvard University’s tax-exempt endowment jumped in value by about $4.17 billion, rising from $27,557,404,000 to $31,728,080,000--but that did not stop Harvard from collecting tuition and fees derived from federal grants and student loans that U.S. taxpayers provided to Harvard undergraduates.

Other universities with major endowments--including Yale and Princeton (from which the author of this article graduated)--also saw massive increases in their endowments and they also benefited from their students paying tuition and fees with federal grants and loans.

In the 2009-2010 school year, according to the U.S. Department of Education, Harvard undergraduates received $4,093,140 in federal Pell Grants and $1,467,017 in federal student loans.

This total of $5,560,157 in grants and loans that federal taxpayers provided to Harvard undergraduates in the 2009-2010 school year equaled only about 0.13 percent of the $4.17 billion that Harvard’s endowment increased last year.
Being a satellite of the Democrat party does pay off. Harvard employees were the fourth biggest donors to Barack Obama's 2012 election campaign. Harvard professors generally promote socialism while not sharing the wealth. They are so well paid they make more money than the average CEO in America which hold in contempt ! Just a reminder, the next time you hear Democrats talk about "inequality" because upper class Harvard professors want the other guy to "pay". Will Republicans in Congress ever wake up and think about treating Harvard just like any other large corporation in the S&P 500 ?
