Chicago population drops 200,000 as blacks go; other census findings revealed

Crain's Chicago Business reports:
The city of Chicago lost 200,000 people during the past decade, as an influx of whites and Asians was more than offset by a historic drop in the African-American population. The Hispanic population of the city proper stayed about even.

That's one of the bigger pieces of news in a detailed breakdown of results from the 2010 census that is being released today by federal officials.
